District Wide IT Customer Care Specialist

As an IT Technician with three years of experience at Florence Unified School District, I've had the privilege of providing technical support that helps our staff and students succeed. I firmly believe it is important to maintain a positive demeanor when facing even the hardest challenges in life. When I'm not troubleshooting tech issues, I'm often found spending time with my family and friends, enjoying activities like fishing, playing chess and fighting games. I'm dedicated to leveraging my skills to ensure a seamless and productive experience for everyone. Also Pepsi is better than Coke.

With an interest in all things tech, I am excited to be helping those in FUSD. I have not been in IT for long, but I have been surrounded by technology my entire life. Especially when it comes to fixing issues. I am in school for Cybersecurity and am projected to graduate in December of 2027. I truly enjoy what I do and helping the teachers and students at FUSD.

 I am currently in my seventh year working with Florence Unified School District, gaining valuable experience and building strong connections within education. I am now proud to serve as the AZED Coordinator, where I enjoy helping people and supporting students, families, and staff. Outside of work, I love spending time with my two amazing daughters whether we’re out shopping, relaxing on the boat, or simply enjoying a nice evening walk together. Family, community, and making a positive impact are at the heart of everything I do.

With a B.S. in Business Administration and certifications in Google IT Support, Google Project Management, AI for Business, and Lenovo Qualified PC Technician, I combines problem-solving and communication skills with technical expertise. My background in entrepreneurship, technology integration and substitute teaching K-12, makes a valuable resource in supporting staff, students, and the district’s goals.

With nearly 2 years of experience in IT and 4 years of experience in the classroom as a Paraprofessional I bring a unique look to education technology focusing on simple and practical solutions that help our teachers do the best that they can to support our students. I have grown up inside FUSD and have strong ties to the community that I feel like is a family. I like to spend my time playing video games, learning about History, and watching TV with my Wife and our three cats Guidry, Joe, and Wednesday.

I started working for FUSD in July of 2007 as the CTE Media Teacher. The district was growing quickly at that time. The sites all had a need for better sound, security, and intercom systems. I was happy to help with those projects. Coming from a background of operating the local public cable tv station and doing community events, I was able to put that background to use to help the district with their plans. Over the years technology and the media industry have come together, so I found myself working within the Technology department at FUSD. This is an exciting time for growth in this department with something new to learn every day. And passing along that knowledge is what I like to do !
