Student Resource for Practice / Review

SuMMit 8th grade students had the opportunity to take the EXPLORE test last fall, and will soon be going over the results in order to learn what careers might be interesting and if they are on track for college.  This assessment will help students begin to think about what they want to do in high school and beyond.

As parents, you are your student’s first and most important teachers in life, so they will need you to be involved in their journey through high school and through post-secondary training and college opportunities.

To gain a better understanding of your student’s EXPLORE results, please view the following PowerPoint presentation by clicking the link, selecting PowerPoints, etc. Scroll down until you find: EXPLORE Summit June 19 Powerpoint FINAL.ppt and be sure to click "DOWNLOAD".

Parents - Understanding Student's EXPLORE Test results

You will receive your student’s EXPLORE results and have an opportunity to speak with Ms. Kent, SuMMit EXPLORE coordinator during Parent/Teacher conferences on February 20-21, 2013.

Juniors will take the ACT assessment on Tuesday April 23, 2013. The results
provide academic strengths and weaknesses predicting students' college readiness as well as providing information for career exploration and planning. Prepare students for Success on the ACT with test information, test-taking strategies and practice multiple-choice tests including directions on how to score the practice tests.
