On January 14, 2009, the FUSD Governing Board approved Option 5 as the new High School boundary. Basically, Option 5 states that the families of students living in the communities of Copper Basin, Superstition Views, Magma Ranch and the rural homes between Judd Rd. and AZ Farms will be allowed to choose between Poston Butte and Florence High. Students who live north of that "box" will attend PBHS, and students south of AZ Farms Rd. will attend FHS. It's a compromise that allows some flexibility for those families who are most likely to be affected by the opening of HS #3.
